In October 2004, stand launched the "educate, don't contaminate" statewide ad contest. Youth from all over the state were encouraged to submit commercial ideas to spread the word about tobacco-free schools. stand member Tyler from Chester, OH, decided to tell the state how he felt about tobacco use on school property and submitted an entry. Despite tough competition from other awesome ideas, Tyler's commercial concept was chosen as a semi-finalist by a panel of judges. Then, youth like you, who voted online, chose Tyler as the winner! So Tyler traveled to Cincinnati to help produce, film and edit his ad-he even starred in it. The ad then ran statewide on TV and in movie theaters and really brought some attention to the issue.
